I thought this assignment was going to be pretty easy for me and I found myself browsing commercials for hours and hours before I picked this one. It may not be a real catchy tune, or full of animations but to me it fits the bill.
1. What forms of audio are used in the commercial? The audio use is more of a classical type. Its soft but powerful.
2. Who is the intended audience age/gender/race if relevant/economic bracket? The intended audience is everyone and anyone. It is a very moving commercial that is intended to catch the eye and get the point across.
3. What is the mood created by the audio? When you first hear the music it makes you wonder what type of commercial it is since its quieter and and has a nice melody. It gets a bit more powerful when the "accident" is happening. Its a calm sounding commercial with a very powerful message. It catches your attention in a different way that the louder and more animated commercials because of the quieter and more beautiful music.
4. What is the purpose/s: educate, train, entertain or inform? The purpose is to educate and encourage the general public to wear their seat belt.
5. Does the audio successfully promote the message of the product? To me it does. Its more "adult" type music for a very serious message. It catches your attention and gets the point across with a classical touch.
6. Is the audio more entertaining and memorable than the product and its message? Not all. The commercial itself is the main attraction and with the powerful meaning it demands the attention. I saw this commercial quite awhile ago and I will always remember it because of how well it was executed.
7. Does the audio help convince you to buy the product? If not, why? There of course is no purchase to make with this commercial, but in any case the music does help make the add.

The WORST commercial ever! Extremely annoying, gives little detail about the product, ugly background and colors.....I could go on and on....
